The Fact of Being Alive

Someone buried me
while I was asleep,
burying me alive and breathing
Buried me in the earth,
tying my hands and feet tightly.
Heaven doesn’t even know my name.
Nobody knows that I'm still alive.
Yet I can’t die without any misgivings.

I cannot move
though I am utterly conscious;
I see not a single ray of light.
Imperceptible time flows.
Unmovable souls weep
as in slumber,
wandering from this world to the other.
Myriad souls buried alive,
the grieved souls writhe in agony.
(Being alive, breathing, and
watching the cobalt skies…)
